The migration follows a 1:1 ratio. For every token burned from the previous ecosystem on the Fantom network, users can mint one FIVE token on the Sonic blockchain. While migration is not mandatory and the previous platform remains operational, any tokens that are not migrated directly reduce the total hard cap of FIVE. The project’s development and new feature releases are now primarily focused on the Sonic-based DeFive ecosystem.

veFIVE is a Vote-Escrowed governance token obtained by locking FIVE tokens for a chosen duration. The longer the lock period, the more veFIVE and voting power the user accumulates. Benefits include receiving a portion of FIVE emissions, the ability to vote on liquidity pool reward distribution, and early access to IGNITE launchpad rounds. It is important to note that veFIVE is non-transferable and is tied to the user's specific wallet.

FIVE has an initial maximum supply of 2 billion, which is designed to be decreasable but never increasable. The project employs a Gamified Burning Mechanism (GBM) where a portion of transaction fees, mini-game prizes, and swap fees are permanently burned. Furthermore, there is no team allocation for emissions; all minted tokens are distributed to the community through liquidity providers and veFIVE stakers to ensure decentralized growth.

The transition to the Sonic blockchain is driven by technical advantages, specifically its ability to handle 10,000 TPS and achieve sub-second finality. These performance metrics are essential for maintaining a high-speed DeFi hub. Users can transition to this new environment using the official network gateway or various supported cross-chain protocols to move their assets from other networks to Sonic.

The IGNITE launchpad utilizes a unique 'Burn-to-Mint' (B2M) model where users must burn FIVE tokens to gain access to or mint tokens from new projects. This process effectively reduces the total supply of FIVE. Similarly, the 'Burn-to-Fun' model applies this deflationary logic to the creation of new meme-based projects, ensuring that every new launch contributes to the scarcity of the native FIVE token.

Airdrop eligibility is centered on long-term participation and loyalty within the project's original ecosystem. Criteria typically include historical activities such as holding project-specific NFTs, providing liquidity, or maintaining consistent staking positions during the earlier phases of the platform's development. These rewards are designed to recognize and incentivize the community members who have supported the project's transition and growth.
