A key feature of the project is its emphasis on decentralization. The protocol is powered by a global network of independent node operators rather than a single central entity. These operators handle the technical responsibilities of running validators and are required to provide their own collateral to ensure the security and integrity of the system. This distributed structure is intended to align with the core ethos of the Ethereum community by preventing any single point of failure or control. Governance of the project is handled by a decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO, which allows participants to have a voice in the direction and management of the protocol.
