MOE is a deflationary cryptocurrency built on the Ethereum platform. Inspired by a popular emoticon meme, it aims to create a blockchain-based ecosystem for the OTAKU community. Its core purpose is to enable users to record, share, and celebrate their interests by providing a platform for minting Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and engaging in popularity contests. This token is central to community interaction and content creation within its dedicated platform.

Within its ecosystem, MOE serves multiple key functions. It is essential for staking on the platform, enabling users to secure the network and potentially earn rewards. MOE also acts as the "fuel" for recording community data or content on the blockchain. Furthermore, it is integral for minting Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and participating in popularity contests. A deflationary mechanism is built-in, as MOE tokens are burned every time a MOE NFT is minted, contributing to its scarcity.

MOE functions as the governance token for Merchant Moe, characterized by a fixed supply and a decaying emission model. Its total supply is capped at 500,000,000 tokens, distributed over a 48-month period. The allocation is segmented as follows: 30% for liquidity mining, 17.5% for the treasury, 15% for the team, 15% for the seed round, 15% for future funding, 5% for staking, and 2.5% for airdrops. Tokens from vesting contracts are released into circulation according to a predetermined schedule.

MOE tokens can be acquired by purchasing them through a Web3 Wallet connected to a decentralized exchange (DEX). It is not directly available on centralized exchanges. Users typically need to create an account on a crypto platform, set up their associated Web3 Wallet, fund it with a stablecoin or another cryptocurrency, and then perform a swap for MOE on a supported decentralized exchange. This method allows for peer-to-peer trading.

The security of the MOE token within its dedicated blockchain ecosystem is multi-layered. Primary security methods involve the use of hardware wallets, such as Ledger devices, which are crucial for keeping private keys offline. This significantly mitigates risks associated with online hacking attempts. Additionally, the project incorporates robust identity verification processes, adding another layer of protection to user accounts and interactions within the ecosystem.
