It aimed to provide simple yield farming, cross-chain bridging tools for Harmony, Ethereum, and BNB Smart Chain networks, and ways for users to trade, provide liquidity, and earn fees from transactions. It was designed to be a community-driven product, offering tools for investing, trading, staking for passive income, and bridging tokens across various blockchains. The project has since rebranded to OpenXSwap and migrated to Optimism.
OPENX is OpenSwap's native token and serves as the foundation for the exchange. It is used as a means of payment to liquidity providers for fees collected from trades.
