Highstreet is a VR-integrated metaverse project centered around commerce and gaming. It operates as a play-to-earn (P2E) massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that seamlessly blends gaming experiences, shopping, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Originating from LumiereVR, a virtual reality retail company established in 2015, Highstreet aims to create a unique 'phygital' environment where physical and digital realms converge.

The HIGH token is the native utility and governance token for the Highstreet metaverse. Its primary uses include purchasing in-game items on the Highstreet Market and acquiring virtual real estate, such as LAND Hexes or Residences, within Highstreet World. Token holders can also stake HIGH to earn rewards and generate passive income, and participate in governance by voting on regional issues and proposals. Additionally, HIGH is used for progressing through game regions, accessing exclusive events, and redeeming product tokens for both physical items and NFTs.

Highstreet bridges the digital and physical worlds by tokenizing physical products into two fractional NFTs. One fraction functions as an in-game item within the metaverse, offering utility or aesthetics. The second fraction acts as an e-commerce event trigger, enabling brands to profit from sales without depleting their physical inventory. This innovative "StreetSmart Drops" system utilizes bonding curves to dynamically price limited-edition items. Users can either trade these tokens within the ecosystem or redeem them for tangible physical goods, creating a seamless connection between virtual assets and real-world products.

Highstreet World serves as the core gaming and e-commerce infrastructure layer of the Highstreet project. It is structured as a vast, interconnected environment comprised of hexagonal tiles. Within Highstreet World, various commercial regions have been developed through collaborations with different projects and brands. These distinct themed areas are designed to integrate brand experiences and product offerings directly into the metaverse, providing users with diverse environments for exploration, interaction, and commerce.

Users can stake HIGH tokens on the Highstreet Market website by connecting their digital wallet. Staking without a specified lock duration generally allows tokens to be unstaked at any time, possibly with a short unbonding period. If a lock duration is chosen, funds will be illiquid until that period concludes. Key risks include accidentally interacting with fraudulent decentralized applications (dApps), failing to properly approve and stake tokens, overlooking gas fees, and critically, sending tokens directly to the contract address, which can lead to permanent loss of funds.

Highstreet has established collaborations with prominent brands to enrich its metaverse experience. These partnerships include various consumer product companies and entertainment entities. These collaborations facilitate exclusive product drops and integrate their offerings directly into the metaverse.
