Blur is a decentralized NFT marketplace and aggregator built on Ethereum, specifically designed for professional NFT traders. It offers advanced features, allowing users to efficiently purchase NFTs at floor prices across various platforms from a single interface, all while maintaining zero marketplace fees. Its focus is on providing speed and analytical tools for high-volume trading strategies.

The BLUR token primarily serves as a governance token within the ecosystem. Holders are empowered to vote on significant protocol upgrades, propose new features, and participate in decisions regarding treasury management, ensuring a decentralized development path. Furthermore, there is a current proposal, BIP-1, aiming to introduce a "fee-sharing" utility via a veBLUR mechanism, which would offer additional incentives for token holders to lock their assets.

Season 4 rewards diverge from earlier seasons which primarily distributed $BLUR tokens. This current season is deeply integrated with the Blast L2 network, offering substantial incentives in the form of $BLAST tokens. A significant allocation of 500 million $BLAST tokens is designated for active traders on the marketplace, while an even larger pool of 1 billion $BLAST tokens is reserved for existing BLUR token holders, emphasizing rewards for both platform engagement and token ownership.

Earning Blur points involves several key activities designed to encourage active participation in the marketplace. You can accumulate points by placing bids on various NFT collections, with higher-risk bids typically yielding more points. Listing your NFTs exclusively on the Blur platform is another crucial method, where maintaining 100% loyalty significantly boosts your reward potential. Additionally, engaging with the Blend protocol by providing loans for NFT purchases contributes to your overall point accumulation.

Blur and Blast share a strong foundational link, both having been established by the same founder, Pacman (Tieshun Roquerre). This shared origin has led to a deep integration between the two ecosystems. Currently, Blur leverages the Blast Layer-2 network to power its comprehensive rewards system. Consequently, a substantial portion of the incentives and rewards distributed for active participation on the Blur marketplace are now paid out in the native $BLAST token, rather than $BLUR, signifying a strategic alignment and synergy between the projects.

A common reason for a decrease in your loyalty score, which is crucial for maximizing airdrop rarity, is listing your NFTs on other marketplaces. Specifically, if you list the identical NFT on a competing platform at a lower price than its listing on Blur, your loyalty score will experience a noticeable drop. This mechanism is designed to incentivize exclusive listings and active engagement within the Blur ecosystem, ensuring that participants committed solely to the platform receive the highest potential rewards.
