Kinesis Money Panama S.A. is the entity responsible for its issuance and management within the Kinesis ecosystem. C1USD is the first asset in the Currency One Suite of single-currency stablecoins.

This native yield mechanism does not require traditional staking or locking up assets, offering a passive earning opportunity.
The 1:1 peg of C1USD to the U.S. Dollar is rigorously maintained by backing every single C1USD token with equivalent asset reserves held at reputable, regulated financial institutions. To ensure complete trust and transparency, Kinesis Money Panama S.A., the issuer, provides monthly independent attestations of these reserves. These attestations are crucial as they publicly prove that the entire circulating supply of C1USD tokens is fully collateralized, thereby verifying the reliability and stability of its dollar backing.
To qualify for earning yield on C1USD, you must be a verified (KYC-compliant) Kinesis account holder. The yield, which is currently around 7.5% APY, is intrinsically attached to your Kinesis account rather than the token itself. This means that for the yield to be accrued, C1USD must be held within the Kinesis ecosystem; holding it in a private external wallet may not qualify. Yield calculations are typically processed daily, with distributions occurring monthly, directly paid in C1USD into your account.
C1USD operates as a multi-chain asset, enhancing its versatility and reach across the digital landscape. It is available on the Stellar network, which is particularly optimized for rapid, cost-effective global transfers and micro-payments, making it ideal for efficient remittances. Additionally, C1USD is available as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain.
