Access to trading and the Marketplace is controlled by the Reputation Score system to prevent botting. To engage in basic P2P trading, you need 700 points. The Marketplace and token withdrawals require 1,500 points. Unlimited trading without coin thresholds is unlocked at 2,250 points. You can increase your score by linking social accounts like Discord and X, holding an account for a long time, purchasing VIP status, or owning NFT land.

The most efficient methods to boost your Reputation Score include connecting social media accounts like Discord and X, and linking a phone number, which provide immediate points. Additionally, older accounts earn points daily based on their age. For a significant boost, purchasing a VIP membership instantly grants 1,500 points, meeting the threshold for Marketplace access and withdrawals. Owning NFT land plots also provides a substantial reputation bonus of 1,500 points per plot.

PIXEL is the primary on-chain premium token used within the game, replacing the legacy BERRY token. vPIXEL, introduced in Chapter 2.5, is a utility token pegged 1:1 to PIXEL. Unlike PIXEL, vPIXEL is designed for spend-and-stake utility and cannot be traded on external exchanges. Its main benefit is allowing players to withdraw utility value from the game without the high withdrawal fees associated with on-chain PIXEL, making it ideal for reinvestment into the game's ecosystem.

In the current version of Pixels, the Task Board is the central hub for earning rewards. Players should look for specific tasks highlighted with a brown or gold background; these are designated PIXEL tasks. Completing these specific objectives rewards the player with PIXEL tokens rather than standard in-game Coins. While the game remains Free-to-Play, VIP members and Landowners often receive priority access to higher-reward tasks on their boards, significantly increasing their earning potential.

Specks are mini-plots available to all players, including those on the Free-to-Play path, but they are restricted to Tier 2 resources. To access Tier 3 and 4 resources, which are necessary for advanced crafting and better rewards, players must either own or rent NFT Land. Landowners generally earn more efficiently because their Task Boards are weighted toward higher-value PIXEL rewards. For serious players not ready to buy land, renting through specialized platforms is a common middle-ground strategy.

Energy is the primary resource for performing actions in Pixels. Free recovery methods include visiting the Sauna daily near the PLOT building, sleeping in a Speck bed once every 24 hours, or attending community-hosted Energy Parties. For faster recovery, players can consume Wines or energy drinks purchased with in-game currency. VIP members also enjoy an exclusive benefit: access to the VIP Lounge, which provides 1,000 free energy points daily, helping them maintain high activity levels.
