MINT acts as the collateral asset for all tokens created on the platform. This high supply is essential because when new tokens are generated, a significant amount of MINT must be bonded or locked within the smart contract to back the value of those tokens.
The total supply is capped at approximately 1.14 trillion. The minting function was renounced at launch, ensuring no new tokens can be created. Unlike many projects, MINT is not designed to be burned because it serves as necessary collateral for the ecosystem; burning it would limit the platform's capacity for new token creation.
The project migrated its primary utility from MINT (V1) on the BNB Chain to the MT token (V2) on the Base network. The official migration window closed on June 5, 2025. MINT V1 is now a legacy token and no longer powers the Mint Club ecosystem.
