Bostrom is a decentralized knowledge graph and search engine within the Cosmos ecosystem. Unlike centralized search engines, Bostrom enables users to create verifiable connections between pieces of information, known as "cyberlinks." These links are stored on the blockchain and ranked through decentralized algorithms rather than proprietary systems. By participating, users contribute to a global, decentralized brain or "superintelligence" where data is open, verifiable, and community-ranked.

Bostrom serves as the "canary network" or live experimental blockchain for the broader Cyber project. Built using the Cosmos SDK and IPFS, it functions as a functional precursor to a future Cyber mainnet. It allows developers and users to test innovative decentralized search features, governance models, and economic incentives in a real-world environment before they are finalized for the primary network deployment.

Bostrom utilizes a complex resource model to manage network activity. BOOT is the primary governance and staking token. When you stake BOOT, the protocol mints an equivalent amount of Hydrogen (H). Hydrogen acts as a liquid resource that can be "Investminted" or locked into two other resources: Volt (V) and Ampere (A). Volt represents your bandwidth, which is required to perform actions like creating cyberlinks. Ampere represents your ranking power, determining how much influence your links have on search results within the network.

This is often related to the "Hydrogen" requirement. When you stake BOOT, you receive Hydrogen. To initiate the unbonding process for your BOOT, the protocol requires you to have that corresponding Hydrogen available in your wallet. If you have locked your Hydrogen into Volt or Ampere to increase your bandwidth or ranking power, you cannot unstake your BOOT until the Hydrogen lock-up period ends or you acquire additional Hydrogen through supported exchanges like LBank. Additionally, the unbonding period for BOOT is typically 42 days.

A cyberlink is a specialized transaction that connects two "particles," which are IPFS hashes representing specific pieces of content. By creating these links, users are effectively "teaching" the decentralized AI how different concepts relate to one another. The more links a specific particle receives, and the higher the "Ampere" (ranking power) of the users linking it, the higher that content ranks in the Bostrom search results. This creates a decentralized alternative to traditional search ranking algorithms.

Users can acquire and trade BOOT on digital asset platforms such as LBank. Because Bostrom is built on the Cosmos SDK, it supports Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) for transfers. To manage your resources, you should use compatible ecosystem wallets that allow you to view your "battery" levels, which represent your available Volt and Ampere. If your battery is empty, you must wait for it to regenerate or stake more BOOT to generate the necessary Hydrogen for resource minting.
