Fashion brand Diesel has reportedly partnered with Metaverse fashion house DressX to power an exclusive fashion collection on the Meta Avatars Store. Co-founded by Daria Shapovalova, DressX Meta to launch a digital-only fashion collection in 2022.

DressX and Diesel have both become part of Meta Avatars Store’s fashion legacy, featuring luxury brands Thom Browne, Balenciaga, and Prada. Stefano Rosso, who serves as a board member for Diesel’s parent company, OTB Group, and also holds the position of CEO within OTB’s metaverse division, BVX, stated:

Moreover, Diesel’s collection is set to include 10 iconic Diesel outfits that echo the brand’s in-store fashion options. Therefore, the customer is at liberty to dress their avatar in Diesel’s classic denim jackets, jeans, and sneakers, and showcase the looks across social media platforms, including Quest VR, Meta’s virtual reality headset. The initial release includes the first five outfits, which will be available on September 14, with a second batch expected to launch later this year.

This news comes after the company released its Metamorph NFT collection in collaboration with NFT music marketplace Public Pressure on September 12. The NFT comprises 300 digital collectibles, minted across Polkadot and Polygon.

Furthermore, Rosso claimed that the virtual space will shape the future of fashion and enable brands to push the boundaries of creativity while engaging with new generations. He emphasized that Diesel plans to create collections exclusively for their virtual space in the near future.

The fashion industry has been heavily bullish on Metaverse. While luxury brands are busy launching digital collectibles, popular apparel brands have also been pushing NFT collections for their audiences. Back in April, Adidas its “Indigo Herz Pack” collection in tribute to the company’s recent transformation as part of the “Into the Metaverse” campaign.
