NFTX and FloorDAO have merged to create a new, unified protocol called Flayer. This merger combines the resources and technologies of both projects to provide more advanced liquidity solutions for NFTs. Flayer is designed to be the next evolution of NFT-DeFi, offering improved infrastructure for users to manage, trade, and generate yield from their digital assets.
The original NFTX token is being superseded by the new FLAY token. To maintain utility and governance rights, holders are encouraged to migrate their tokens through the official Flayer migration portal. By connecting their wallets to the portal, users can swap their legacy NFTX tokens for the new FLAY tokens, which are the native assets of the updated ecosystem.
The migration ratio is approximately 1 NFTX to 1,089.75 FLAY. While the migration portal is intended to remain open indefinitely for the time being, users are urged to complete the process as soon as possible. For example, depositing a CryptoPunk into the corresponding vault would yield a vToken representing that collection. These tokens are fungible, meaning they are interchangeable and can be used across the DeFi landscape for trading or collateral, providing a bridge between unique digital collectibles and liquid crypto assets.
Users can earn rewards through two primary methods: Inventory Staking and Liquidity Staking. Inventory Staking involves providing an NFT to a vault to earn a share of the protocol's minting and redemption fees. Liquidity Staking requires users to provide both an NFT and a pair asset (like ETH) to a liquidity pool, allowing them to earn both trading fees and vault fees for their contribution to the ecosystem's depth.
