BERA is the native gas and staking token of Berachain. iBERA is a Liquid Staking Token (LST) issued by Infrared Finance. When you stake your BERA with Infrared, you receive iBERA. It represents your staked BERA plus accumulated rewards, allowing you to remain liquid and use the token in decentralized finance (DeFi), such as lending or trading, while still earning staking yield. iBERA is not merely a renamed version of BERA; it's a liquid wrapper for staked BERA.
Users earn Infrared Points through several methods. These include simply holding iBERA in their wallet, depositing iBERA or iBERA-LP tokens (like iBERA-WBERA) into Infrared's Proof of Liquidity (PoL) vaults.
