FOMO TOCD is the official ERC-20 "battle token" for The Old Castle Defense (TOCD), a decentralized gaming and staking platform built on the Base Layer 2 blockchain. It is designed for a peer-to-peer economy where players stake tokens to join factions and engage in battles. Unlike typical reward assets, it functions as the primary utility token for gameplay, allowing users to compete for rewards and earn NFTs within the game universe.

Beyond active gameplay, holding FOMO offers significant long-term benefits, most notably the guaranteed TOCD airdrop. The project has allocated 10% of the total supply of its future governance token, TOCD, specifically for FOMO holders. This ensures that those who support the ecosystem by holding the battle token will receive a proportional share of the governance layer when it is officially distributed.

Game Percent Yield (GPY) is a specialized reward metric unique to this project, representing the yield earned from winning sieges and battles. To ensure sustainability, GPY is funded by the stakes of the losing faction rather than through token inflation. This competitive model ensures that rewards are driven by player participation and skill, creating a balanced economy within the decentralized application.

Users can acquire FOMO through three main avenues: 1. Staking: Locking FOMO tokens or specialized NFTs into smart contracts. 2. Gameplay: Joining and winning faction-based "Sieges." 3. Telegram MiniApp: Using the "HOT FOMO" bot to accumulate points through daily activity. While some activities grant points initially, these are typically converted and distributed as actual tokens to user wallets on a periodic, often monthly, basis.

FOMO Points are internal rewards earned via daily tasks and game victories within the ecosystem. These points act as a precursor to the actual FOMO token. Usually, the project converts these points and distributes the corresponding ERC-20 tokens to user wallets once a month. Users should regularly check the "Unclaimed Rewards" section of the official dashboard to monitor their balances, as updates may not appear instantly.

To stake FOMO, users must connect a compatible Web3 wallet to the platform and ensure they are on the Base network. Staking requires a two-step process: first, an "Approve" transaction to grant the contract permission to access the tokens, followed by the "Stake" transaction to finalize the lock-up. Additionally, because the project operates on Base, users must hold a small amount of ETH in their wallet to cover gas fees, as FOMO tokens cannot be used to pay for network transactions.
