Beff Jezos is the pseudonymous founder of the e/acc movement. He was later identified as Guillaume Verdon, a former Google quantum engineer and the founder of the AI hardware startup Extropic. As a leading figure, he popularized the movement's focus on techno-optimism and the belief that the universe's thermodynamic laws naturally drive toward increased complexity and intelligence, justifying the push for faster technological growth.

The Solana-based E/ACC token is the movement's primary "cultural artifact" on the blockchain. While not officially endorsed by the philosophical founders, it serves as a community-driven memecoin used for subculture building and as a store of value within the e/acc ecosystem.
