Drop Protocol is a decentralized liquid staking platform designed for the Interchain ecosystem, specifically targeting assets within the Cosmos network. Users could earn Droplets by liquid staking their assets or interacting with supported decentralized applications, with these points intended for eventual redemption into DROP tokens. However, in late 2025, the project announced it would cease operations in an orderly manner. Following this decision, the planned issuance of the DROP token was cancelled, and the associated airdrop for participants in the Droplets program was terminated. The protocol management indicated they would explore ways to distribute existing protocol revenue to contributors as a form of value return. Regarding asset management during the shutdown phase, certain liquid staking tokens like dTIA and deINIT were scheduled for removal, though withdrawal functions remained active for users to reclaim their underlying assets. Other tokens, specifically dATOM and dNTRN, were expected to continue receiving support as the team entered discussions with potential partners to maintain their operations.
