Price prediction

Moving Averages Explained: Moving averages are lines that represent the average price over a specific period, used to smooth price fluctuations and identify trend direction. When the price is above the moving average, it generally indicates an uptrend, while below indicates a downtrend. A short-term moving average crossing above a long-term moving average forms a Golden Cross (bullish), while crossing below forms a Death Cross (bearish). A bullish alignment (short-term > medium-term > long-term) indicates a strong uptrend, while a bearish alignment indicates the opposite.

Filecoin (FIL) FAQ

IPFS is a peer-to-peer protocol designed for addressing and moving data across a decentralized network, finding content based on its content hash. Filecoin, on the other hand, is the incentive layer built on top of IPFS. While IPFS helps make data accessible, Filecoin uses a blockchain to create a market where users pay storage providers to store their data reliably and persistently over time, ensuring it remains online. It provides cryptoeconomic incentives for long-term data storage.
Filecoin offers compelling advantages like significantly lower costs and decentralized data storage, eliminating a single point of failure and enhancing censorship resistance. It's often superior for "cold storage" (infrequently accessed data). However, traditional centralized services currently provide faster access for "hot storage" (frequent data retrieval) and more established customer support channels. Filecoin excels where cost-effectiveness, data persistence, and decentralized control are priorities, while centralized services might be preferred for speed and dedicated support.
Filecoin uses two unique cryptographic proofs to ensure data integrity and persistence. Proof-of-Replication (PoRep) verifies that a storage provider has made a unique physical copy of the data and stored it. Continuously, Proof-of-Spacetime (PoSt) verifies at regular intervals that the storage provider is still storing that data. If a provider fails to provide these proofs or goes offline, their pledged FIL tokens (collateral) are "slashed" (burned), creating a strong economic incentive for high reliability and consistent service.
The FIL token is integral to the Filecoin network's operation, serving multiple crucial roles. Clients use FIL to pay storage providers for storing and retrieving their data. Storage providers (miners) must "pledge" or collateralize FIL tokens to participate, guaranteeing their service quality and data availability; this collateral can be "slashed" if they fail to meet obligations. Additionally, FIL is used to pay for transaction fees across the network, acting as the fundamental economic fuel for decentralized storage.
The Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) is a pivotal upgrade that brings smart contract capabilities directly to the Filecoin storage layer. It allows developers to deploy arbitrary programs and business logic on the network. This enables the creation of powerful new applications such as "Data DAOs" (decentralized autonomous organizations managing data), automated storage insurance protocols, and lending platforms for FIL tokens. FVM transforms Filecoin from a pure storage network into a programmable storage network, unlocking a vast array of web3 use cases.
