AWETH is the Aave V3 version of Wrapped Ether (WETH), an interest-bearing token minted when users supply WETH to the Aave V3 lending protocol. It represents a user's share of the total WETH supplied and accrues interest over time.
Aave V3 allows users to supply digital assets like WETH to earn interest, minting AWETH tokens upon deposit. These AWETH tokens can then be used as collateral to borrow other assets. The protocol operates on an over-collateralized model, meaning the collateral's value must exceed the borrowed amount.
aTokens are interest-bearing tokens received by users when they supply assets to the Aave protocol. AWETH is the specific aToken for WETH deposited on Aave V3. These tokens represent the user's claim on the underlying asset plus accrued interest.
Aave V3 includes significant enhancements like Efficiency Mode (E-Mode) for assets with correlated prices, Isolation Mode for securely listing new assets with specific debt ceilings, and improved capital efficiency and risk mitigation across various blockchain networks.
