What is a Maker?
A Maker order is placed at a specific price that differs from the current market price—typically below for a buy order or above for a sell order when setting a pending order. This order is added to the order book and waits to be matched. Once executed, it is classified as a "Maker" order, as it helps increase market liquidity.
What is a Taker?
A Taker order is executed immediately at the current market price by matching an existing order from the market depth list. When placed, it actively trades with orders already in the order book, taking liquidity from the market. This instant execution defines the "Taker" behavior.
