WEMIX is a comprehensive blockchain gaming platform and Web3 ecosystem established by WEMADE, a South Korean gaming company. WEMIX encountered a notable security breach in 2025, where approximately 8.65 million WEMIX tokens were stolen from its Play Bridge Vault due to an external attack. This incident, alongside accusations of "suspected deliberate inaccurate disclosures" and governance issues, significantly impacted the project, causing a substantial price decline and resulting in its delisting from several major South Korean exchanges. In response, WEMIX has committed to plans for token recovery and initiated a crypto buyback program to address the fallout.
