While the Stability Pool generally allows for instant withdrawals, time-locked pools offer higher rewards in exchange for locking tokens for set periods, such as 30, 60, or 90 days.
Ferrum utilizes a mechanism called Value-Constrained Proof of Stake (VCPS), which requires validators to stake collateral to ensure honest behavior and protect against cross-chain attacks. Unlike traditional bridges that lock and mint assets, Ferrum uses decentralized proxy tokens for secure value movement. Notably, Ferrum supports non-EVM chains, allowing assets like Bitcoin to be brought into the DeFi ecosystems of EVM-compatible chains.
