Holders of DAM are responsible for steering the direction of the project by voting on critical parameters such as the types of collateral accepted by the system, fee structures, and protocol upgrades. Additionally, the token is used for staking, which allows participants to earn rewards and potentially boost their influence within the ecosystem. Technologically, Reservoir operates as a Collateralized Debt Position protocol. It employs several smart contract modules to ensure stability and risk management. A key component is the Peg Stability Module, which facilitates one-to-one swaps between rUSD and other approved stablecoins to maintain its value peg. Another critical module is the Credit Enforcer, which acts as an automated risk manager for the system's diversified collateral portfolio. The project distinguishes itself through its cross-chain infrastructure, which utilizes partnerships with protocols like LayerZero to allow users to mint and redeem assets across different blockchains without manual bridging. This approach aims to solve liquidity fragmentation within the decentralized finance sector by creating a unified stablecoin experience regardless of the underlying network.
