Guide to tethering your phones internet to your PS4.
Connecting Your PS4 to the Internet Using Your Phone
If you find yourself without a traditional Wi-Fi connection, you need not worry. You can still enjoy the full capabilities of your PS4 by connecting it to the internet through your phones hotspot. This method is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and involves the following steps:
Enabling Hotspot on Your Phone
The first step is to activate the hotspot feature on your phone. The process varies slightly depending on whether youre using an iPhone or an Android device.
For iPhone users: Navigate to Settings > Personal Hotspot and toggle it on. This will activate your personal hotspot.
For Android users: Go to Settings > Connections (or Network/Internet, depending on your device) > Mobile Hotspot and toggle it on. This will switch on your mobile hotspot, making it visible to other devices.
Connecting Your PS4 to Your Phones Hotspot
Once your phones hotspot is active, you can now connect your PS4 to it. To do this, follow these steps:
On your PS4 console, go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection. Here, you will have the option to choose Use Wi-Fi. Select this and then choose your phones hotspot from the available networks list. You will be prompted to enter the hotspot password, which is usually provided on your phones hotspot settings page. After entering the password, your PS4 should connect to the hotspot and you can enjoy online gaming or streaming on your console.
This method of connecting your PS4 to the internet through your phones hotspot is not only convenient but also efficient, especially when traditional Wi-Fi is unavailable[1][3][5].
