To safeguard your LBank account security, Google Authenticator serves as a crucial two-factor authentication (2FA) tool. If you need to switch devices or reset your Google Authenticator, follow these simple steps for a quick reset.

When Do You Need to Reset?

You may need to reset Google Authenticator in the following scenarios:

  1. Device Loss or Damage: Phone lost, stolen, or damaged, preventing access to the original verification codes.

  2. Phone Replacement: New phone cannot use the existing Authenticator data directly.

  3. Accidental Deletion: Google Authenticator app or data accidentally deleted.

  4. Security Needs: Suspected key leakage or desire to proactively enhance account security.

  5. App Issues: Authenticator sync errors or invalid verification codes.

How-to Steps

  1. Access「Security」: Log in to the LBank App, tap your profile icon to enter「Personal Center」, then select「Security」.

  2. Modify Google Authenticator: In「Security」, tap「Google Auth」and select「Change Google Auth」.

  1. Add New Authenticator

    • Scan the QR code on the page or copy the setup key to add it to your Google Authenticator app.

    • After completing the addition in Google Authenticator, return to LBank and tap「Next」.

  2. Verify Identity and Complete Reset

    • Tap「Send」to receive an email verification code and enter the received code.

    • Obtain a verification code from your current Google Authenticator and input it.

    • Confirm all information is correct, then tap「Confirm」.

    • If you don’t receive the verification code, tap「Didn’t Receive Email Code?」to get a new one.

Important Notes

  1. Key Security: If switching phones or losing your device, reinstall the Google Authenticator app on the new device. The setup key is critical for recovery—store it securely.
