AEVO Introduction

AEVO, the native token of the Aevo network (ticker symbol AEVO), is a cryptographically secure fungible token with unique governance and utility functions on Aevo. The primary design goal of AEVO is to serve as an interoperable utility token on the network.

AEVO grants its holders the ability to propose and vote on future functions, upgrades, or parameters of the Aevo network, highlighting its role in promoting decentralized community governance. The voting rights of token holders are limited to voting on Aevo features and do not involve decisions on the operation and management of the company, asset disposition, or development direction. Clearly, AEVO does not represent any form of equity or partnership.

Furthermore, AEVO provides economic incentives that encourage users to contribute to and participate in the Aevo ecosystem, creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for their efforts. AEVO is an essential and integral part of Aevo, as without AEVO, there would be no incentive for users to engage in activities or provide services for the benefit of the entire ecosystem.

The distribution of AEVO is based on the actual use, activity, and effort of users on Aevo, meaning that inactive users will not receive AEVO rewards. Importantly, holding AEVO does not represent any form of company shares, ownership, or entitlement to profits, nor does it promise any form of fees, dividends, revenue, profits, or investment returns.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning that the secondary market pricing of AEVO is not dependent on the effort of Aevo project contributors, and its functionality or scheme is not designed to control or manipulate such pricing. Any sales or distribution of AEVO are only conducted during the initial phase to secure project development funds, raise market/brand awareness, and engage in community building and social interaction, which does not constitute a regular business practice.

The AEVO token, as a rebranded product of the original governance token RBN under Ribbon Finance, was implemented through the latest governance proposal RGP-33.

As a successor to RBN, AEVO's distribution largely continues RBN's market layout, with the DAO treasury being the largest token holder. Although previously the treasury's funds were mostly used to support RBN's liquidity pool and were less involved in other productive activities, the new proposal AGP-1 suggests a more dynamic and functional way of allocating these funds.

Under the new distribution strategy, 45% of RBN owned by the DAO will be converted to AEVO and distributed as follows: up to 16% of AEVO will be used for incentives (including airdrops), managed by the Growth and Marketing Committee to promote the governance token and attract more users and liquidity; up to 9% of AEVO managed by the Treasury and Revenue Management Committee will be used to support AEVO's liquidity on various decentralized and centralized exchanges; up to 5% of AEVO will be used for community growth and bounty tasks, also managed by the Growth and Marketing Committee.

The unmarked 16% of funds will be reserved for future DAO expenditures. It is noteworthy that Aevo project contributors will receive a 2% allocation annually from this portion. This tokenomic structure is designed to provide a solid foundation for the long-term growth and prosperity of AEVO's community.

Aevo: High-Performance Derivatives Trading Platform

Aevo is a high-performance decentralized derivatives trading platform specializing in options and perpetual contracts. The platform operates on a custom EVM roll-up and ultimately aggregates to the Ethereum network. The Ribbon Labs Foundation, also known as Aevo DAO, is an autonomous entity formed by holders of AEVO and sAEVO tokens.
