EvoPay (EPAY) is a decentralized stablecoin designed for capital efficiency and yield generation within its ecosystem. It concurrently functions as the protocol's native governance token. Beyond this, EvoPay also serves as a privacy-first payment protocol specifically tailored for the Telegram ecosystem, enabling users to send and receive various crypto assets while maintaining privacy and on-chain verifiability.

EPAY is primarily utilized for staking within the EvoPay Stability Pool, where stakers earn rewards from liquidations and continuous governance token emissions. In the context of its Telegram-based payment protocol, EPAY (or the platform supporting it) facilitates private sending and receiving of crypto assets. Additionally, EPAY holders have the right to vote on governance proposals, influencing the protocol's development and future direction.

Stakers of EPAY benefit from a dual-reward system. Firstly, they earn discounted collateral from liquidated positions within the protocol. When liquidations occur, stakers acquire a proportional amount of the vault's collateral at a favorable rate. Secondly, stakers continuously receive EPAY governance token emissions, which further compounds their holdings and participation in the ecosystem.

While EvoPay has undergone security audits by reputable security firms, all decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols carry inherent risks. The primary risks associated with staking EPAY include potential smart contract bugs, economic exploits, and the risk of liquidation. During a liquidation event, staked EPAY is converted into collateral, meaning stakers receive a proportional amount of collateral at a discount but their EPAY is burned to cover the vault's debt.

EPAY is the liquid governance token, meaning it is freely transferable and tradable. In contrast, veEPAY (vote-escrowed EPAY) is a non-transferable token that represents locked EPAY and grants enhanced voting power. Users obtain veEPAY by locking their EPAY tokens for a predetermined duration. This mechanism encourages long-term commitment to the protocol, rewarding those who lock their tokens with greater influence in governance decisions.

Users can acquire EPAY through several channels. One primary method is by minting it directly against their collateral on the EvoPay platform. Alternatively, EPAY can be obtained by swapping for it on a decentralized exchange. Furthermore, EPAY is available for trading on centralized exchanges, such as LBank, offering various convenient avenues for users to gain access to the token and participate in the ecosystem.
