zJOE is a liquid staking token developed as a proxy for staked native tokens within its ecosystem. It allows users to maintain liquidity without the need to manually bridge or stake assets across different chains. By converting assets to zJOE, the protocol automates management to optimize yields, enabling holders to earn rewards while keeping their positions tradable on platforms like LBank.

The native JOE token is used for governance, while sJOE represents tokens staked to earn rewards from trading fees. zJOE is the liquid staking version that automates this reward-earning process. The primary advantage of zJOE is that it remains liquid and tradable, whereas traditional staking might limit asset movement. It offers the same rewards as direct staking plus additional protocol incentives.

By locking zJOE tokens for a specific duration, users receive veZJOE (vote-escrowed ZJOE). This asset represents voting power within the protocol, allowing holders to participate in governance proposals and vote on yield boosts. It is designed to reward long-term participants by giving them influence over the future direction and reward distribution of the ecosystem.

Rewards are typically earned by staking zJOE on the official platform and usually consist of stablecoins and protocol-native tokens. These rewards are dynamic, fluctuating based on ecosystem trading volume and staking participation. Most importantly, rewards do not usually auto-compound; users must manually visit the protocol dashboard to claim their earned assets.

Eligibility is often determined by historical staking activity or liquidity provision within the ecosystem. The program utilizes multipliers to reward long-term conviction, which can be increased through longer lock-up periods or consistent governance participation. Users should be aware that allocations are periodically recalculated to filter out non-genuine activity, ensuring a fair distribution for legitimate community members.

Standard staking pools generally allow for immediate unstaking. However, if tokens are converted to veZJOE, they remain illiquid until the lock period ends. For safety, users should only use official interfaces and never send tokens directly to contract addresses, as this can lead to permanent loss.
