zippySOL is built on the Solana Program Library (SPL) stake pool program, which has undergone nine audits. Because it utilizes this standardized, non-custodial framework, developers do not have the ability to withdraw or "rug" the SOL staked within the pool. This structure ensures that users retain control over their assets through the security of the audited underlying protocol.

Your funds remain secure and accessible even if the project's interface becomes unavailable. Since zippySOL follows the SPL stake pool standard, your assets are recorded directly on the Solana blockchain. Users can always interact with the smart contract manually using the Solana CLI or other compatible ecosystem tools to initiate a withdrawal. Your ability to unstake is not dependent on the project’s front-end website.

zippySOL is a yield-bearing token rather than a rebase token. Instead of the number of tokens in your wallet increasing, the value of each zippySOL token grows relative to SOL. As staking rewards accrue every epoch, the exchange rate adjusts, meaning 1 zippySOL will be worth more SOL over time. This allows you to realize your rewards when you eventually swap or unstake back to SOL.

There are two primary ways to unstake. The first is a "Delayed Unstake," where you wait for the current epoch to end (approximately 2–3 days) to receive the full value of your SOL. The second is an "Instant Unstake," which involves swapping zippySOL for SOL on decentralized exchanges or trading platforms like LBank. While instant, the second method may incur small slippage fees depending on market liquidity.

The Points Program rewards active participants in the Zippy ecosystem. Users earn points by holding zippySOL or utilizing it within supported DeFi protocols for lending or liquidity provision. These points are intended to determine the initial allocation for the upcoming ZPY governance token. ZPY will serve as the native utility token, allowing holders to participate in future ecosystem governance.

The project maintains a transparent fee structure to support the maintenance of its delegation strategy and ecosystem development. Typically, a management fee is applied only to the staking rewards earned, not to the principal amount of SOL deposited. Additionally, there is a small withdrawal fee of approximately 0.1% when unstaking through the pool to help manage network costs and liquidity.
