To enable the use of these staked assets in other decentralized finance applications, MEMO could be wrapped into wMEMO (Wonderful Memories). This process created a token that maintained its value relative to the underlying MEMO but was more easily transferable and compatible across various platforms.

No, wMEMO is no longer considered the main or officially supported token. In August 2023, the DAO voted to transition to a new token called VOLTA. While wMEMO remains on-chain, VOLTA has taken its place as the primary token for all future governance activities and protocol functionalities within the re-branded Volta Club ecosystem. This shift signifies the project's evolution and strategic direction.

To migrate your wMEMO to the new VOLTA token, holders must utilize the official Volta Club dashboard. The migration process involves swapping your wMEMO directly on this platform. There is a predefined and fixed exchange ratio for this conversion, set at 1 wMEMO for every 330 VOLTA tokens.
