Wing Finance is a credit-based decentralized lending platform. Unlike traditional protocols that often require high over-collateralization, Wing integrates the OScore credit scoring system on the Ontology network. This allows users with a proven on-chain history to borrow assets with lower collateral requirements. While standard protocols focus strictly on the value of deposited assets, Wing leverages reputation and credit history to provide more flexible and capital-efficient borrowing options.

WING can be purchased on major cryptocurrency exchanges such as LBank. For managing your assets, the ONTO Wallet is highly recommended as it is native to the Ontology network and supports the platform's unique features. Additionally, users can use popular multi-chain wallets like Metamask or Trust Wallet to manage WING across different networks, including Ethereum and BNB Chain, where the token exists in various formats.

The maximum supply of WING was originally 10 million tokens, but it was reduced to 5 million following community governance decisions (WIP-04 and WIP-08). To support the ecosystem, Wing Finance operates a monthly buyback program that begins on the 23rd of every month. The DAO uses platform-generated revenue to repurchase WING tokens, which are then either burned or returned to the community fund to ensure long-term sustainability.

The Supply Pool allows users to deposit assets as collateral to borrow other tokens; it is designed for lower risk and provides lower yields. In contrast, the Insurance Pool allows users to stake WING to act as a guarantor for the protocol. While the Insurance Pool offers higher yields, it includes a 3-day lock-up period and carries the risk that staked tokens could be used to cover protocol losses in the event of a major market failure.

Governance is community-driven through Wing Improvement Proposals (WIP). To submit a proposal, a user must hold at least 1,000 WING. Each proposal undergoes a 3-day discussion period and requires a quorum of 20,000 WING to pass. Holders participate in determining reward distribution rates and fee structures. While WING does not pay direct dividends, protocol fees are frequently used for buyback-and-burn mechanisms, which benefits the entire ecosystem.

Wing Finance 2.0 is a roadmap initiative focused on creating an AI-powered, user-centric DeFi experience that automates risk management and optimizes yields across multiple blockchains. Additionally, Wing has expanded into NFT lending, allowing users to use blue-chip NFTs as collateral. This feature enables NFT holders to borrow stablecoins against their digital assets, providing liquidity without the need to sell their collectibles.
