Veno Finance is a decentralized liquid staking protocol primarily focused on the Cronos and zkSync Era blockchain ecosystems. The project aims to provide users with a way to maximize the utility and yield of their staked assets without locking up liquidity for long periods. By using this protocol, individuals can stake various supported assets such as CRO, ATOM, TIA, and ETH. When a user stakes their assets through Veno Finance, they receive a liquid receipt token in return, such as LCRO, LATOM, LTIA, or LETH. These receipt tokens are yield-bearing and auto-compounding, meaning they automatically increase in value relative to the underlying staked asset as rewards accrue. Unlike traditional staking where funds are often locked and inaccessible, these liquid tokens can be used freely across other decentralized finance applications for activities like lending, borrowing, or providing liquidity. The native protocol token is VNO. It serves several core functions within the ecosystem. Users can utilize VNO for rewards participation and boost farming. One specific feature is the Reservoir, where users can lock their tokens to receive a share of the protocol earnings. Another feature called the Fountain allows users to deposit their tokens to earn additional rewards. The project also features the Veno Garden, which integrates with partner protocols to provide further incentive opportunities for liquidity providers. Security and reliability are highlighted as central components of the project. Veno Finance operates its own enterprise-grade node infrastructure and utilizes a slashing insurance module designed to protect user funds in the event of validator penalties. When a user decides to unstake their original assets, there is typically an unbonding period required by the underlying network. During this waiting time, the protocol issues a tradeable NFT that represents the user's claim to their assets once the period concludes. This NFT can be held until the tokens are ready for redemption or potentially traded on secondary markets. By integrating with major partners in the ecosystem, Veno Finance seeks to maintain high liquidity for its receipt tokens, ensuring that users can easily enter or exit positions while continuing to benefit from staking rewards. The project positions itself as a vertically integrated solution that simplifies the staking process for participants while enhancing the overall efficiency of the supported blockchain networks.
