AQUA and GAMMA serve distinct roles in the protocol. AQUA is the primary governance token and is designed as a store of value with a limited maximum supply. In contrast, GAMMA is the utility token used for distributing rewards and determining discount levels within the Green Planet lending protocol. AQUA is a deflationary token by design. The protocol implements a buy-and-burn strategy where approximately 50% of all fees generated across its various "Planets"—such as the Blue Planet decentralized exchange and Green Planet lending protocol—are used to purchase AQUA from the market and permanently remove it from circulation.
