The platform enables trading of perpetual contracts across a diverse range of assets, including cryptocurrencies, equities, forex, commodities, and other real-world assets (RWAs). Key features of Pingu Exchange include its fully on-chain execution without centralized order books, ensuring transparent operations. It utilizes Pyth Network and Chainlink oracles for price discovery, which facilitates trading with minimal to no spread or price impact. Traders can use leverage of up to 100x and benefit from multi-collateral options, typically using assets like USDC and MON for margin and settlement. The exchange offers various advanced order types, such as market, limit, stop, reduce-only, and one-cancels-the-other (OCO) orders, and features an isolated margin system for adjustable leverage. Pingu Exchange supports three main participation models. Users can engage in trading by opening long or short positions with leverage. Additionally, individuals can act as liquidity providers by depositing assets into vaults, earning from protocol fees and aggregated trader losses. The protocol also features a native token, PINGU, which can be staked. Staking PINGU allows holders to receive a share of the protocol's revenue, aligning with its community-driven decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) governance model. A portion of the protocol's revenue, specifically 35%, is allocated for buying back and burning PINGU tokens. The project is built on Monad infrastructure, recognized for its high throughput, genuine decentralization, and full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility.
