An order book then facilitates matching these lenders with borrowers. Oxygen distinguishes itself by allowing for multiple uses of the same collateral and cross-collateralization, where an entire portfolio can serve as collateral, which can help manage liquidation risk. The native token of the platform is OXY. This token serves as a utility and governance token within the Oxygen ecosystem. OXY is used to pay for fees generated by the platform and is also distributed as a reward. Furthermore, holding OXY grants users voting power, allowing them to participate in decisions regarding the future development of the platform. Token holders may also benefit from reduced fees. The OXY token is designed to be interoperable, supporting both the Solana network and Ethereum (as an ERC-20 token).
