The project operates using a dual-token system consisting of xCFX and NUT. The xCFX token is a liquid staking derivative that represents a user's staked CFX. When users deposit their CFX into the Nucleon platform, they receive xCFX in return. This token is an interest-bearing asset that automatically accrues rewards from the underlying staking process. Because xCFX is a standard ERC20 token on the Conflux eSpace, it remains fully liquid, meaning users can trade it, use it as collateral in decentralized finance applications, or provide liquidity in pools without needing to wait for long unstaking periods. The value of xCFX is designed to increase relative to the original CFX as rewards are compounded over time. At the protocol's inception, it was set at a one-to-one ratio, but it transitions to reflect the base value plus all accumulated interest. The second token, NUT, serves as the governance token for the Nucleon ecosystem. Holders of NUT can participate in the decision-making process for the protocol and can stake their tokens to receive additional benefits, such as boosting their staking rewards. By making staked assets liquid, Nucleon aims to increase participation in the security of the Conflux Network while providing users with greater flexibility. It removes the barriers to entry by allowing users to stake any amount of CFX and maintains a user-friendly interface for managing these assets. The project emphasizes security and transparency, utilizing industry-leading staking providers to support its operations.
