Mynth is a decentralized protocol designed for trustless, bridge-less cross-chain swaps. Unlike traditional bridges that use a "lock-and-mint" model—which creates wrapped tokens vulnerable to de-pegging—Mynth uses an intents-based protocol. It facilitates the swap of native assets directly between chains. Assets remain in secure escrow until delivery is verified, eliminating the risks typically associated with wrapped assets and common bridge vulnerabilities.
Mynth Lizard is the protocol's dedicated Layer-2 network that utilizes zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to secure cross-chain transactions. Its role is to verify proof of delivery on-chain. By using ZK-proofs, the network ensures that a swap is only finalized when there is mathematical certainty that the assets have been delivered to the target chain, providing a high level of security for the atomic swap process.
Currently, Mynth supports several major networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Arbitrum, Base, BSC, Polygon, TON, and TRON. The project is following an aggressive roadmap for 2025, with the goal of expanding its "layer-zero" infrastructure to support a total of 25 blockchain networks by the end of the year, enabling broad interoperability across the decentralized landscape.
The $MNT token is central to the Mynth ecosystem with three primary uses: governance, service fees, and deflationary mechanics. Holders can vote on protocol changes through the Mynth DAO. The token is also used to compensate node operators for their services. Furthermore, a portion of protocol fees is dedicated to a buyback-and-burn mechanism, intended to reduce the total supply from 100 million to a final target of 50 million tokens.
The MNT IDO is set for January 21, 2025, and will be available through major launchpads and trading platforms like LBank. To encourage community engagement, Mynth has introduced the Farmroll program. Starting January 1, 2025, users can complete various multi-chain quests to earn points. These points are designed to help users qualify for an airdrop expected later in the year, rewarding early adopters and active ecosystem participants.
Mynth employs an "atomic by design" security model. When a user initiates a swap, their funds are held in a secure escrow contract. These funds are only released to the swap executor once the Mynth Lizard network provides a zero-knowledge proof of delivery on the destination chain. If the swap is not completed or verified, the funds remain protected within the escrow, ensuring users do not lose their assets to failed transactions.
