The MTS token serves as the primary governance and utility token. It is used for high-level activities such as participating in the decentralized autonomous organization to vote on project developments, staking to earn rewards, and purchasing rare items from the marketplace. It also acts as the reward for major tournaments and guild-based competitions. A secondary token, MTT, functions as the in-game currency for daily activities, such as purchasing consumables, unlocking new maps, and upgrading weapon statistics like ammunition capacity and fire rate. Items within the game, particularly weapons and equipment, are represented as 3D NFTs. Players can customize these items by changing their colors and shapes or upgrading their performance levels. The game also incorporates land ownership, where guilds can battle for territory. Winning guilds can use these lands to build headquarters or craft larger digital estates. The development team behind Metastrike includes professionals from the game studio CG Art. Members of the team have prior experience working at major traditional gaming companies such as Ubisoft and Square Enix, having contributed to titles like Final Fantasy XV and Hungry Dragon.
