The MetaGods game world is structured around 35 Dungeons, each protected by a formidable Boss, such as mythical figures like Zeus or Medusa. Players have the option to engage in either Casual Mode or the more challenging Hardcore Mode. A distinctive aspect of Hardcore Mode is "NFT Permadeath," where a character's demise results in the permanent loss of all equipped items, weapons, and upgrades for that season. Players can also choose from various character classes, including healer, tank, or damage per second (DPS) roles, to suit their preferred combat style.

MGOD functions as the main governance and utility token for the MetaGods platform. Its core utilities include empowering holders to participate in governance decisions and vote on the game's future direction via a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) framework. Players can also stake MGOD to earn rewards over time. Furthermore, MGOD is essential for acquiring in-game assets; it's used to mint NFTs, purchase virtual LAND within the marketplace, and obtain adventure packs containing characters, weapons, and various consumables. It also serves as an entry fee for exclusive game events like special Dungeon raids and player-versus-player (PvP) tournaments.
