MetaBlox is a Web3 initiative building a decentralized global WiFi roaming network. It tackles common issues with traditional public WiFi, including fragmentation, inconsistent service, security vulnerabilities, repetitive logins, and privacy breaches. The project aims to deliver free, enterprise-grade secure WiFi globally, ensuring users enjoy stable network access without repeated authentication or compromising their privacy.

MetaBlox employs Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs), adhering to W3C standards. This DID+VC protocol empowers users to manage their digital identities securely, facilitating private network access. It integrates with Hotspot 2.0 and the WBA OpenRoaming standard for seamless, automatic WiFi connections worldwide. Additionally, a Proof-of-Location (PoL) protocol verifies physical presence on-chain, strengthening network integrity and security.

The MetaBlox tokenomics feature mPoints, which users earn by contributing network services, validating quality, and participating in activities like adding nodes or inviting others. mPoints can be converted into MetaBlox governance tokens through staking, granting holders voting power over network development and treasury matters. Additionally, "Miner-Pegged NFTs" enable holders to earn ongoing crypto rewards through cloud mining and NFT staking, providing community status and further governance token yield. The total supply is planned at one billion tokens, primarily distributed via mining and staking rewards.

The MetaBlox token, often referred to as MBX, serves as a core utility token within its network. It grants governance rights, enabling holders to participate in crucial project decisions through voting. Furthermore, the token includes a dividend mechanism, distributing a share of platform transaction fees back to token holders. This utility token is fundamental for accessing and facilitating various services across the MetaBlox decentralized WiFi network.

MetaBlox tackles privacy and security through its DID+VC protocol, which ensures decentralized and privacy-enhanced WiFi access. This system allows users to verify their identities directly, bypassing reliance on third-party intermediaries and safeguarding personal information. The network is also designed to align with strict global privacy protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring a secure and user-centric environment.
