Fragmetric is a native liquid restaking protocol built on the Solana blockchain. A core technical innovation of the project is the FRAG-22 asset management standard. This standard utilizes Solana's native token extensions and transfer hooks to perform complex reward calculations and tracking directly on the blockchain. By using transfer hooks, Fragmetric can precisely record how long a user has held their tokens and distribute rewards accordingly whenever a transfer occurs. This system supports the aggregation of multiple reward streams, including traditional staking yields, maximum extractable value (MEV) rewards, and distributions from Node Consensus Networks. The project plays a critical role in securing Solana's infrastructure by bridging the main network's security with off-chain services such as oracles, bridges, and app-specific chains. These services can utilize Fragmetric's restaking framework to bootstrap their economic security from existing stake pools. This approach aims to reduce fragmentation in network security and increase the efficiency of staked capital. The native token of the ecosystem is FRAG, which serves as a governance and utility asset. Holders of the FRAG token can participate in the protocol's decision-making process by voting on governance proposals and determining reward distribution mechanics. Users can also stake their tokens to engage with the protocol's broader governance structure and support the stability of the infrastructure. Fragmetric is designed to be a foundational layer for modular and programmable finance on Solana. By providing developer toolkits and standardized asset frameworks, it simplifies the integration of restaking and data security protocols for other applications.
