What is FRACTON PROTOCOL (FT)?

Fracton Protocol is a decentralized liquidity infrastructure and fractionalization platform designed to improve the accessibility of high-value non-fungible tokens. It primarily focuses on blue-chip digital assets that often have high entry barriers for individual participants. By using a unique fractionalization process, the protocol allows these premium assets to be divided into smaller, more accessible units. The core mechanism involves repackaging individual non-fungible tokens into fungible ERC-20 tokens, often referred to as hiNFTs. Each hiNFT represents a specific fraction of an underlying digital asset, typically one-millionth of the original piece. This system enables users to own and trade portions of high-end collections without needing to purchase the entire asset. The protocol supports a wide range of well-known collections and utilizes an un-upgradable smart contract design to ensure security and decentralization. Technical features of the platform include a meta-swap function, which allows for the exchange of different token standards, such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155. This feature is supported by liquidity pools and a pool-less swap mechanism that utilizes verifiable randomness to facilitate fair and transparent asset redemption. The protocol aims to reduce gas fees and increase efficiency through a stateless smart contract architecture, making it more scalable within the Ethereum ecosystem. The FT token serves as the native utility and governance token for the Fracton Protocol ecosystem. Its primary roles include governance, incentives, and utility. Token holders can participate in the decision-making process for the protocol by voting on proposals related to feature updates, fee structures, and the management of the decentralized autonomous organization treasury. Additionally, the token is used to reward active users who contribute to the protocol's liquidity and can be used for staking to support network stability. In summary, Fracton Protocol acts as a bridge between premium digital collectibles and a broader audience. By transforming illiquid high-value assets into fungible shares, it democratizes access to the market and provides a foundation for more complex decentralized applications to be built on top of digital assets. The project focuses on enhancing the liquidity of the non-fungible token market through specialized infrastructure and community-led governance. Learn more

FRACTON PROTOCOL (FT) FAQ

A hiNFT (such as hiBAYC or hiPUNKS) is an ERC-20 token representing 1/1,000,000th of a specific blue-chip NFT collection. This model solves liquidity issues associated with expensive, illiquid NFTs by allowing them to be traded in smaller, fractionalized amounts on exchanges like LBank. This infrastructure enables wider access to high-value digital assets without requiring the purchase of a complete NFT.
To redeem a full NFT from the pool, users utilize the "Meta-Swap" feature on the Fracton website. This process typically requires 1,000,000 hiNFTs plus a small redemption fee, usually around 0.6%. Meta-Swap is the protocol's core innovation that facilitates seamless swapping between three token standards: ERC-721 (original NFT), ERC-1155 (middle-layer), and ERC-20 (fractions) at a constant ratio.
Yes. To ensure fairness and prevent "rarity sniping"—where users might try to specifically claim the most valuable NFTs from a collection—the protocol uses Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function). This technology provides a provably fair and tamper-proof mechanism to randomly select which specific NFT from the vault is sent to the user during the redemption process.
The $FT token serves as the governance and utility backbone of the protocol. Its primary roles include governance, allowing holders to vote on which NFT collections to fractionalize next, and providing incentives for liquidity providers. Additionally, a portion of protocol fees from redemptions and trading is often directed to $FT stakers or the treasury, providing a real-yield component for token holders.
Fracton Protocol’s smart contracts have been audited by CertiK to ensure code safety. For transparency, all NFTs in the Meta-Swap pool are held in decentralized smart contracts with public addresses. This allows anyone to verify the "Proof of Reserve" on-chain using blockchain explorers like Etherscan, confirming that the vault contains the actual assets represented by the hiNFTs.
FractonX is a launchpad and incubation program for new NFT projects. It introduces "Rebase hiNFTs," which combine fractionalization with a rebase mechanism. This creates a flywheel effect where early holders of incubated projects can receive airdrops from subsequent collections launched on the platform. Access to these opportunities, such as whitelist spots or airdrops, usually requires holding or staking the $FT token.
