Clarity is a decentralized governance protocol and no-code DAO management platform built primarily for the Cardano blockchain. It serves as a Web3 "operating system" that allows organizations to manage treasuries, create polls, and execute on-chain proposals without needing advanced coding skills. The project addresses the complexity of decentralized governance by ensuring that organizational funds are managed through transparent, on-chain community votes, effectively eliminating the risks associated with centralized control of shared treasuries.

The $CLARITY token provides governance, incentives, and access. Holders can vote on the future direction of the Clarity protocol itself, ensuring a community-led development path. It is also used in a revenue distribution model where a portion of protocol fees is shared with stakers. Additionally, the token acts as an access key for the platform, where certain advanced management features or specific task-gating within the dApp require users to hold or stake $CLARITY.

Launching a DAO on Clarity is a streamlined process involving the signing of smart contract transactions to establish governance rules. The protocol is designed for flexibility, allowing creators to use any existing Cardano-native token as the governance power for their organization by simply inputting its unique Policy ID. This allows established communities to transition to a decentralized structure without the need to mint entirely new assets, lowering the barrier to entry for on-chain management.

Clarity offers two distinct structures for governance. A "Decentralized Organization" is a lightweight, hybrid model often used for off-chain coordination or less formal groups. In contrast, an "Agora DAO" is a fully on-chain entity that utilizes audited smart contracts to manage funds and execute decisions. This model provides the highest level of security and decentralization, ensuring that all treasury movements and policy changes are governed by immutable code and community consensus.

To gain voting power within the protocol, users must stake their tokens in a dedicated smart contract, with the amount staked determining their influence in governance decisions. Stakers are also eligible to receive a portion of the fees generated by DAO creators and protocol users. While tokens can generally be unstaked at any time, they remain locked if they are being used in an active proposal vote, ensuring the integrity of the governance process until the vote is settled.

The protocol is built on the Agora smart contract library, developed by MLabs, a leading firm specializing in high-security capital management for the Cardano ecosystem. These contracts undergo rigorous peer review to ensure safety. Furthermore, Clarity allows DAOs to register as Delegated Representatives (DReps) on the Cardano network. $CLARITY tokens can be acquired on major trading platforms including LBank, providing users with access to this secure governance infrastructure.
